Breakfast Buddies

Now in its 23rd year, Breakfast Buddies started with the desire of Maryland Elementary staff members to invite families to be served a meal to support the school's sense of community. Staff set up and cook for families on the blacktop of the back playground.

We Breakfast Buddies events twice a school year, in the Fall and the Spring. It is common for hundreds of family members, students, and staff to take part in the event.

The much-loved event features breakfast of pancakes, turkey sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee. There are a few tables and chairs set up on the playground, but many take their picnic blankets and enjoy time with friends, neighbors, and their children.
